Description
tandard Clamp If your bike has 1 rear sprocket the standard clamp is all that is needed to install the right hand Bike Tow Leash to the right side of your bike. Quick Mount with Clamp Eliminates chain interference on right side installations. Provides extra ease of sharing the Bike Tow Leash between bikes, and rapid adjusting for different dog heights. Use requires minimum of 1 & 1/2 inch flat area surrounding the rear axle. For solid axles 3/8 or 9mm diameter, with hex nuts on both sides, you need 1/4 inch [6mm] available axle length. Installed you will have 5 full turns of thread engagement on the nut. For bikes with quick release lever and 5mm dia. skewers as shown, extra axle length is not necessary. Comes with a 5mm recessed axle nut, 5 & 6mm bolts to engage slot and threaded hole in frame for extra security. Instructions included. The Chain-Stay Clamp Replaces the standard inner clamp to eliminate chain rubbing the inner clamp when the bike is in its highest gears. Right Side BTL mount for use on bikes with rectangular or oval chain-stays (lower rear frame member) up to 1 1/4 inch high. For taller chain stays contact us before ordering. For Bikes with rear suspension where the chain and seat stays move relative to each other so you must clamp just the chain stay. Not necessary for installing on the right side of most single speed cruiser bikes. Also works on manual wheelchair round frame tubes. If for use on a chair or round chain stay, send bike or chair photo make and model before ordering. We have extra shims for custom fits.

Our border collie and Australian cattle dog love the Bike Tow Leash! When it first arrived I planned to do a quick test ride around the neighborhood. When I noticed how instantly comfortable myself and my dogs were with the BTL, we ended up riding for 10 miles! This product is sure to provide us with years of safe adventures with our dogs. Remember to keep a close eye on your pup’s paw pads and always bring extra water to keep humans and dogs hydrated! Thank you Bike Tow Leash!Ease of use,fun activityAbsolutely love the BTL and the mount but still found that I needed to add a jerk ease bungee at the end to make it a comfortable ride for me and my pup. This is wonderful. I'm not even a remotely avid cyclist but there's really no learning curve for either of us. Happy and worn out pup after a short ride!Just tried the BTL with the Quick Mount this morning and my mom loved it! We ride with the traffic on our particular route so we like to keep the dogs on the right, closer to the sidewalk and farther from any cars. The quick mount made this possible! The standard clamp the BTL comes with would work but only on her left side because she has a mountain bike and all the gears and shifter are on the right. I read the directions many times before starting to put the quick mount on (directions are well-written but since it’s not my bike and an older model I didn’t want to mess anything up!) but putting it on was a breeze. The bike being used is a Giant brand, Sardona model (it’s not listed on the BTL website but that’s probably because it’s 20+ years old) and the dog is a 27lb mini labradoodle for a size comparison.Because the dog is shorter than an average sized dog I did have to adjust the orientation on the tow arm. To do that just follow the directions printed on the arm and pour rubbing alcohol right in to the joint where the metal bracket goes in to the rubber coupling and start moving it around. Then rotate it as needed for your dog’s heightAll things considered even though this is expensive I think it’s worth it for safety- for both rider and furry friend. I hope we get a lot of good rides in with this!
